I love this one because it is so romantic and pretty! The lighting is also gorgeous and makes it look like we were in a dream, which is exactly how the day felt.

Wedding Planner

Tammy Ouellet, from Divine Weddings and Events is simply “Divine”. We called Tammy a few month after we became engaged as I was a tad overwhelmed by the whole process. We instantly felt a connection and knew we had to book her. Every step of the way Tammy was there for us to answer the millions of little questions I had. We couldn’t have done it without her! The day of our wedding went so smooth. Tammy and her amazing team made sure our entire day was perfect.

The Photographer

One word AMAZING. His professionalism, patience and most importantly character made our wedding photography a breeze. Curtis was definitely one of the best choices we made through this whole experience.

Our flowers

The bouquets, boutonnieres and all décor were done by The Little Flower Shop. Not only is Peggy a BLAST to work with her love for flowers and décor shows through in her work. She did an INCREDIBLE job. Love you Peg!

Dress

My dress was a strapless sweetheart mermaid wedding dress. I bought it at Stella’s and I am so happy with the decision. Thank you Shelley for saving me 5 weeks out from my wedding!!

Makeup and Hair

Glam on the Go as well as Hair on Broadway. Cindy Butler is such a freakin talented makeup artist & Katie Ament and Jill Hanson are ridiculous with a curling iron. I highly recommend ALL of them! Thank you, thank you!!

The Favours

I had a dream Jeff proposed to me with a Ring Pop about six months after we began dating. Jeff being as clever as he is remembered that little detail and a year and a half later used a Ring Pop during the proposal. It was only fitting we used them again for our wedding favours. We put the Ring Pop’s into tiny little personalized ring boxes.

What a great couple, family and group of friends… loved this one!

I love the lighting, the way that it looks there is no one else in the world, and our focus is just on each other. This photo captures the happiness that we both feel for each other in our hearts. Its a treasure!

A Memorable Moment…

The most memorable moment for me was the moment I turned the corner of the church with my two Dads and saw my groom waiting for me at the alter. It really was the moment that I had been looking forward too after all this planning.

Bride’s Dress…

My Dress was by the designer Maggie Sottero, and was bought at Stella’s Bridal Galleria. I had only tried on a handful of dresses before deciding on this one shoulder stunner. I am not a fan of beading or lace, so the flower accents on this dress gave it just the right punch of detail without being too over the top.

Jewellery/Accessories…

Etsy is a girls best friend!! I bought my veil (such a bargain!!), necklaces for all the girls (and myself), earrings, and my garter all on that little gem of a website! The garter was a fun touch. The Minnesota Vikings, although terrible this year, is the groom’s favorite team, so a custom garter was the perfect touch. I will definitely miss all the online shopping I got to do in preparation for the wedding!

The Groomsmen…

We had 3 Groomsmen and a Best man. All friends of the groom since his teenage years, it was an easy pick for the wedding party. The best man Matthew lives in Calgary, but played a huge roll in the wedding, and contributed more than we could have ever expected him too. They were all terrific, and much needed comedians during times of stress.

The Bridesmaids…

We had 3 bridesmaids and a maid of Honor. My sisters, Liz and Monique, as well as my friend Jody filled the roles of bridesmaids, and my very best friend Allison was my maid of Honor. Allison lives in BC and made many trips into Winnipeg to insure that I had the very best bridal experience. She definitely made the whole experience a joyous one, and was a terrific support throughout the whole planning process. We of course can’t forget our gorgeous Flower girl Lily who, for being so young (2 years), was a real trooper the whole day. She even kept her dress on…so impressive!

The Flowers…

Our flowers were STUNNING. An array of roses, carnations, orchids, and calla lilies in multiple shades of purples, vibrant lime green and traditional white made our bouquets really pop! Julie and her team a the Floral Fixx are true artists.

The Cake…

Our cake was AMAZING!!! I designed this one of a kind cake by looking through magazines and drawing out sketches while at work on the night shifts. Nina from cake studio was able to bring my vision into reality and more with her BEAUTIFUL sugar work and fine attention to detail. We loved the wedge style to our cake, and left all of our guest talking. Not only did it LOOK great, it tasted even better, the pink champagne flavor with strawberry buttercream, was literally to die for. My mouth is watering just thinking about it….

The Honeymoon…

We went on a 10 day Caribbean cruise which travelled to St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Barbados, St. Thomas, Bahamas, and Antigua. We left the weekend following the wedding, and boy was it a needed vacation! Beautiful weather, massive amounts of fun, extravagant entertainment, and memories that will last a lifetime. Definitely money well spent!
