Photog Bonfire Fun…

Hey everyone, I’ve been a little busy for blogging and now have some catching up to do:)  Here are some pics from the fun photog bonfire we had a couple of weeks ago at my place.  Thanks so much to everybody who stopped by!  It was awesome to see you and we should have another one possibly next week.  Let’s keep the good times going!  Thanks again!

This looks like a Canon/Nikon argument of some kind…

This is Nghia realizing he needs to switch to Canon, LOL!

Relaxation after a long day…

A few weeks ago, we had the Winnipeg Wedding & Event Industry Leaders Photo Shoot at the Millennium Center.  The Kamp’s & I have given you a little taste of the awesomeness but still have lot’s to show:)  After the big day we ended up at my place for a much needed bonfire.  I had to share some pics of Bethany crashing the party and being her usual cute self!  Good times and yummy eats!

If you are in need of some services for your wedding like clothing, make-up, linens, etc… Check out the list of these vendors who were outstanding to work with!  Thanks again and enjoy a couple more pics of good things to come this season!

Events by Emma, Moore Photography, Kamp Photography, Planned-Perfectly Specialty Linens, Floral Elements, Flowers R US Inc., Aldo Formal Wear, Cakes by Shelley, Karta House Stationary, Emile et Etienne, Millennium Centre, Krystal Dreams, Fingers and Toes Day Spa, CKLY Fashions, Hasina Mehndi & Body Art, Mary Kay Cosmetics and Urban Glow.

Bethany took his chair so Jake returned the favor:)

Waiting to melt…

Hey everyone, here are some pics from the road trip Jake, Jess and I went on a couple of weeks ago out to Lockport and area… holy crap I think we have some flooding to come!  Amanda & I went out last year and the water level was no where near this.  We traveled down a back road along side the river and some houses don’t even have a chance!  No need for sandbagging there:(  We then met up with Nghia at the Forks for some more photos.  This was the first time I have seen the forks under water and I am told it happens every year.  In the photo with Jess, there is actually another long flight of stairs that take you down to the docs… crazy!  Then it was time to hit the pub for a pint!

Since all photographers seem to love post-processing explanations (I sure do!), I included one from a B&W conversion I did… I love the glowy negative film look on this one:)  I usually only use photoshop actions for blog posts but when I do I use Totally Rad Actions with a little Kubota now and then.  For my clients, Lightroom can usually handle all my post-processing needs:)  Oh, and if you want to see if your camera sensor is dirty, just take photos of a blue sky!  To my surprise, my sensor was filthy!!!  Nghia gave me a lesson in sensor cleaning that night so I am good to go from now on:)  Thanks and enjoy!
